These are the terms for using Chalkman, the darts scorer made by Chiggle Venture Studio ("we"). By using the app you agree to them. They sit alongside Google Play's own terms, which cover buying and downloading apps.

Using Chalkman

• Chalkman is free to download and use, with ads.
• It keeps score and works out statistics as well as it can, but it's up to you to check anything that matters. Don't use it to settle bets.
• Tournaments you link or share live can be seen by anyone with their code or link. Don't use names or text you wouldn't want others to see, and don't use Chalkman to share anything unlawful or offensive.

Remove ads

A one-off purchase that turns ads off for good on the Google account you bought it with. Restore it on another phone with Settings → Restore purchases.

Chalkman Club

• A subscription, monthly or yearly, that links a phone to every board, shares tournaments live and turns ads off. The price is shown in your currency in Google Play before you pay.
• Free trial: new subscribers get 7 days free. Google Play takes the first payment when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then. One trial per Google account.
• Renewal: Club renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
• Cancelling: any time, in the Play Store: your picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Chalkman Club → Cancel. Club carries on until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Phones: Club works on up to three phones signed in to the same Google account.
• Board phones and people following a tournament don't need Club. Only the organiser's phone does.
• If Club lapses during a linked tournament, that tournament carries on until it finishes.

Refunds

Google Play handles payments and refunds. You can ask Google Play for a refund of a recent purchase from your Play Store order history, and Google's refund policy applies. If Google can't help, email us and we'll look at it fairly. None of this affects your rights under consumer law where you live.

Changes to Chalkman

We keep improving Chalkman, and features may change. If we change what Club includes or what it costs, Google Play tells subscribers before the change applies, and you can cancel.

Our responsibility

We provide Chalkman as it is and do our best to keep it working, including the online parts, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses caused by using it, beyond what you've paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits what the law doesn't allow us to limit.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, where Chiggle Venture Studio is registered. If you live in the UK, the EU or elsewhere, you keep the protections your local consumer law gives you, and you can bring a claim where you live.
